Pros

As my first internship, EisnerAmper has been an excellent place to learn and grow. I expanded my skills in adaptability, audit software, and the application of GAAP within audit and assurance. The internship provided meaningful client work while also helping me better understand how an audit engagement operates from start to finish. During one of my first weeks, a partner mentioned that the Minneapolis office is a place where interns can quickly become involved and find opportunities to learn. That has definitely been true in my experience. The people in the office are approachable and willing to answer questions, explain unfamiliar concepts, and help however they can. It is clear that they want interns to succeed by passing the torch for us to become amazing Accountants. The client work has been valuable, but one of my biggest takeaways has been experiencing what a positive workplace culture looks like. EisnerAmper has shown me how meaningful work, continuous learning, and supportive coworkers can come together. I will be able to carry both the technical skills and the professional relationships I developed here into my future career.

Cons

Just like any job, there will be a learning curve when trying to familiarize yourself with the corporate work environment. But for an internship, that is the expectation EisnerAmper has for you. Never be scared to ask questions because the team is very willing to provide guidance and answer questions. The biggest Con a person would have is not asking enough questions, take this opportunity and learn.

Pros

Great place to intern. Everyone, from entry-level to partner, is very attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They strongly encourage you to ask questions and reassure you that it is ok to make mistakes. People were very honest about their experiences here and gave honest assessments about the work/lifestyle which was refreshing and appreciated. I never felt like I couldn't ask a question or be honest about how my experience was going. The work itself is hands-on and you're able to see/work on the process from start-finish which I think is unique and advantageous. Also, having Friday off as an intern was amazing and I really appreciated how much attention was paid to work-life balance as an intern. It is definitely a lot to have thrown at you information-wise, so having that extra day off was perfect so that I could come back on Monday feeling rested and ready to learn. There were also certain office/intern events that created a great environment to meet everyone in the office. Compensation is very competitive and fair in comparison to other firms. I'm very impressed with the culture that has been established here and would highly recommend it to someone as a place to intern if given the opportunity.

Cons

The only thing I maybe would have changed or wanted would be to have more people in the office. This is somewhat unique to being an intern because I made a point to be here every day and I think that's more important as an intern, whereas if I were working full-time, it'd be more acceptable to work remote more often. So, I understand why people frequently worked from home, as I would do the same thing if I was working full-time. However, it was still sometimes less than ideal to have to text or call someone to get help instead of just talking with them in-person. Regardless, it wasn't difficult to connect with people, and the level of direction/help was still the same as it would be if they were in-office.

Pros

I've been with the firm for 6 years, starting at the associate level, and some of the most foundational moments of my career have happened here. The culture is genuinely a go-getter one — from staff to partner, people show up with real guidance, not gatekeeping. As a Black woman now in a management role here, I can speak to this directly: performance is what gets rewarded, full stop. I've asked for what I felt I'd earned and gotten it. Leadership has shown up for me in ways that go beyond the job — present for milestone moments in my life, invested in me as a person, not just a line on a chart. If you're willing to put in the work, this firm will invest right back.

Cons

Tax season hours can run long — that's pretty typical for this industry, but it's worth knowing what you're walking into. The pace and accountability here push you to grow fast— if you're looking for something more hands-off, this might not be the right fit.
