Growth doesn't happen. I finished undergrad and graduate school in business administration and communication management and not once moved up after that. This was with a 7 year tenure with them already. I applied to several positions that I was more than qualified for only to lose out to someone that knew someone higher up. I suppose I didn't know how to "play the politics game" well enough.
