Pros

The Clinical staff is good.

Cons

Culture: Allows and at times even promotes a culture of fear. This comes from the very top down. I hear employees being degraded and spoken to as if they have no value every single day. Work life balance: There are no respected boundaries. You are expected to give your entire life to this company in order to keep your job, there is no down time. There always seems to be a fire of raging proportions that necessitate dropping everything to get on an emergency meeting or hop on a plane to scream into the wind. Advancement: Elara is the ultimate chess board, regardless of tenure or qualifications, advancement is based on politics. Games must be played, trust no one. Your every waking hour is a stage performance, there is no morality, no loyalty, no trust, you must constantly look over your shoulder. Corporate would sell their grandma in order to get promoted or make a buck. Reminds me of HBO Succession. Each and everyone is ruthless. Clinical support: Very little. Short staffed in both the field and the branches but Elara can hire yet another six figure Vice President to be the VP of all the Vice Presidents I guess. It is absurd how top heavy they are, completely out of touch with anything outside of their corporate palace.

Pros

Field staff is good, especially the home health aides. Most of the nurses as well. Medical Directors are thorough.

Cons

Local management is poor. Bad communication, short staffed, take patients that live alone in bad situations with no plan for future care. Disasters waiting to happen. Employee well being is poor. No recognition for things you right or patient/ satisfaction. Nurses don’t get adequate time with patients. I
