Pros

Emory has a great benefits package with generous time off, tuition reimbursement, good medical plans, etc. I feel encouraged to learn and grow professionally.

Cons

Sometimes you feel like you are part of a large, complex bureaucracy that is slow to evolve or change. Changes are slow. Implementation of new technology has been slow. Some employees do not pull their share of the work. Management seems to have some trouble enforcing high standards with all of their employees.

Leadership needs significant improvement. Promotions often appear to be based more on personal relationships than on experience, qualifications, or selecting the best candidate for the position. Leadership also fails to adequately address bullying and toxic workplace behavior, allowing it to continue unchecked. As a result, many locations feel disorganized and chaotic due to inconsistent leadership, poor communication, and a lack of accountability.
