Pros
Emory University offers excellent benefits' packages at reasonable prices, as well as sick leave and vacation leave. They also offer many opportunities for higher learning.
Cons
Emory is a very large company and treats its employees as such. Individuals are not recognized for their hard work, they just become another one of the masses and policies are not tailored towards specific departments. Once you receive your job classification, it is very difficult to get a raise unless you are promoted, which can only happen if HR approves your relevant experience. Because the entire staff of the university must operate under the same policies, it does not matter how hard you work, you receive the same annual salary percentage increase as everyone else.
