Pros
I’ve enjoyed it over the years. Slow work environment but fast paced at the same time. The pay isn’t amazing for the positions when you realize you could make more doing the same role outside of the University setting. The truth is the work is rewarding and it isn’t as stressful as it could be, I recommend Emory University to anyone looking for longevity and a flexible work environment.
Cons
Pay is low compared to other industries with the same job title. You don’t advance in your career consistently unless you make the correct connections. Unpredictable busy seasons which leads to you being overworked occasionally.
