Struggling with increased workloads and poor leadership disconnect - Customer Success Manager Employ (MA) Employee Review

Pros

It is hard to come up with any. It's bleak.

Cons

The company has changed significantly, and working here has become increasingly difficult. After major layoffs and continued attrition, many remaining employees are carrying expanded workloads with less support, fewer experienced teammates, and unclear ownership across departments. Role expectations, compensation, and commission structures have also shifted in ways that have reduced earning potential. Commission changes for the year were not rolled out until the end of May, nearly five months into the year, which reflects a broader issue with planning, transparency, and accountability. Leadership often feels disconnected from both employees and customers. There does not seem to be a meaningful process for frontline feedback, and cross-functional work is frequently slowed by silos, unclear priorities, and top-down asks that do not reflect the realities of the work.

Pros

Work with some great people on my team.

Cons

New CEO has come in and people are leaving in droves. Jerry has no HR tech experience and has never run a company of this scale and it shows. The CHRO and CCO are leaving this month. Both are a big loss to the organization and it sends a message to the rest of the company that they don't believe in the new CEO or the future direction of the company.
