Pros

Onboarding is efficient. People are generally friendly. WFH.

Cons

The new metrics are asking quite a bit for the level of pay. The previous years metrics were difficult at times but achievable. Depending on skill level, may require unpaid OT to consistently hit new goals and metrics. The 2025 package seemed more reasonable. The 2026 comp package has elevated metrics but the base pay remained the same. Recommend to those that are highly self-motivated with a plan to get promoted to a higher paying role within the company. There is quite a bit of work that may be needed after client call that will hinder your talk time metrics which are being fairly heavily focused on right now. With new minimum of 4 hours per day. It is achievable for people with experience and determined to work up the ladder. If you have had a call center job before at a finance firm, then you should be fine.

Pros

Many smart people genuinely want to grow & succeed; An excellent long term strategic vision backed by long term oriented investors; Ample growth opportunities at a business that is very well positioned for long term growth. Leaders that genuinely care about their people. Remote work is truly an advantage - just the lack of a commute makes a large difference. Opportunity to be at the ground level of a company that will develop a much stronger national brand over the next decade.

Cons

Delivery & Execution are areas that are truly challenging in the high growth/evolutionary environment that Empower is in today. Cultural changes are happening within the business that create some competing priorities, though Sr. Leaders continue to lead through this. Working with people across the US means don't expect a normal schedule - early / late starts and working lunches are the norm.
