Pros

Good salary Remote work options

Cons

1. Workload is too heavy and there is little more than platitudes from management. Meanwhile, employees are constantly badgered to get more done. There is NO real worklife balance when you are constantly buried in work 2. The procedures to accomplish anything are unnecessarily complex and involve ridiculous amounts of back and forth. The simplest tasks can take days longer than necessary. This has a huge impact on our clients who are often unable to perform basic functions within a reasonable time frame, even missing deadlines required by law. 3. The company knowingly allows problems to exist without effecting change because the solution will take too much time or money. These problems are core system setup issues that affect how a plan functions. We address them on a one off basis after they escalate. Often, management only begins to address problems when escalation reaches the highest levels

Pros

Responsible Time (which is truly encouraged to be used and is one of the only things keeping people above water at the moment); great coworkers

Cons

Company is growing too big, too fast and employees simply cannot keep up and are burning out. Too many changes at once and employees feel senior leadership does not notice or they simply don’t care. Associates who have been with Empower since the beginning are saying this is not the same Empower they once loved working for.
