Pros

1. Flexibility to work from home although I had to post out to another job to get FT remote. 2. Unlimited time off 3. Recognized holidays, about 10 4. Supportive managers 5. Growing business 6. Well versed culture, we have BRGs (Business Resource Groups like NAMASTE, BOLD, ALMA, etc) 7. Good communication from leadership and about specific targeted notifications about what's happening in our industry.

Cons

1. Too many meetings 2. Work life imbalance although company recognizes it and is trying to rectify 3. Low merit increases 4. Hard to get promoted within your position, need to post out to get promoted

Pros

I like working here, I find the work life balance with this role to be ideal, and remote opportunities are regularly available at the company ever since the pandemic. Unlimited PTO and I don't have feel guilty to use it, team structure really helps when people are out of the office. Receive good salary for my part of the country, with yearly raises and bonus based on merit.

Cons

I don't have many cons, I would say it would depend on your manager, as is the case with most positions in this world. I've had amazing managers with my time here and some mediocre managers, but overall the job has been good enough to weather the storm of a bad boss.

Pros

Many smart people genuinely want to grow & succeed; An excellent long term strategic vision backed by long term oriented investors; Ample growth opportunities at a business that is very well positioned for long term growth. Leaders that genuinely care about their people. Remote work is truly an advantage - just the lack of a commute makes a large difference. Opportunity to be at the ground level of a company that will develop a much stronger national brand over the next decade.

Cons

Delivery & Execution are areas that are truly challenging in the high growth/evolutionary environment that Empower is in today. Cultural changes are happening within the business that create some competing priorities, though Sr. Leaders continue to lead through this. Working with people across the US means don't expect a normal schedule - early / late starts and working lunches are the norm.
