Pros

I have worked in healthcare in most of my background before working at Empower and I have never had more thorough training for my role as representative and am blown away at the knowledge I have gained in just a little over a year. Yes, I am fully remote but have never felt as much inclusivity as I do here at Empower. Everyone is more than willing to help go over and beyond with retirement questions that need clarification and really aid in your ability to get the job done. I love it here and my eyes are still wide with all the opportunity in front of me.

Cons

Downside could be, networking is hard when you don't run into familiar face in an office setting but there are ample opportunities provided to associates via email that you can sign up for and really take advantage of the resources that are here at Empower. Additionally, there are busier quarters where phone calls are back to back with little breathing room. This doesn't last forever but definitely can be a bit mentally draining and if you cannot fathom pushing through "taking one call at a time" This role may not be for you. Personally, I think the pros outweigh the cons.

Pros

I like working here, I find the work life balance with this role to be ideal, and remote opportunities are regularly available at the company ever since the pandemic. Unlimited PTO and I don't have feel guilty to use it, team structure really helps when people are out of the office. Receive good salary for my part of the country, with yearly raises and bonus based on merit.

Cons

I don't have many cons, I would say it would depend on your manager, as is the case with most positions in this world. I've had amazing managers with my time here and some mediocre managers, but overall the job has been good enough to weather the storm of a bad boss.

Pros

Many smart people genuinely want to grow & succeed; An excellent long term strategic vision backed by long term oriented investors; Ample growth opportunities at a business that is very well positioned for long term growth. Leaders that genuinely care about their people. Remote work is truly an advantage - just the lack of a commute makes a large difference. Opportunity to be at the ground level of a company that will develop a much stronger national brand over the next decade.

Cons

Delivery & Execution are areas that are truly challenging in the high growth/evolutionary environment that Empower is in today. Cultural changes are happening within the business that create some competing priorities, though Sr. Leaders continue to lead through this. Working with people across the US means don't expect a normal schedule - early / late starts and working lunches are the norm.
