Empower went through significant leadership and structural changes in early 2026 — including workforce adjustments and infrastructure challenges that affected people's daily experience. Since then, new senior leaders have been brought in across operations, technology, and commercial functions specifically to address the gaps you describe.       A few things I'd tell anyone considering Empower: We're AI- and innovation-forward, so things move quickly and actually get done. We're early enough that you get to design the foundation, not inherit someone else's. And the mission is real — everyone supports getting patients access to affordable medicine, and the care for that mission is evident in everything we do. Fast, foundational, mission-driven, and team forward.

      Cons

      Fast pace and a still-being-built foundation cut both ways: priorities shift quickly, some processes and tools are still maturing, and there's more ambiguity and manual work than at an established company. It's a strong fit if you're energized by building and comfortable with change — a harder one if you want everything structured and settled on day one.
