Pros

Interviewers were up front about workload and demands of the position, while at the same time being excited about the impact the position has on the company and the company on the market.

Cons

Little room for salary negotiation.

Pros

• The legal and regulatory mandate here is genuinely substantive - not a placeholder GC role • The company's commitment to integrity and quality is real and built into how decisions are made • The leadership team is credible and mission-aligned; standards on quality and compliance are genuine • Who thrives here: lawyers and compliance professionals who want to own hard problems, not manage process

Cons

If you are not looking for a challenging and fast-paced industry, this may not be the ideal fit.

Thank you for this — your perspective on the depth of the legal and compliance mandate here is exactly right. Empower's commitment to integrity and quality isn't aspirational; it's operational. We're glad you see that, and we appreciate the work you're doing to help us build on it. The pace is real, and so is the impact.

Pros

A few things I'd tell anyone considering Empower: We're AI- and innovation-forward, so things move quickly and actually get done. We're early enough that you get to design the foundation, not inherit someone else's. And the mission is real — everyone supports getting patients access to affordable medicine, and the care for that mission is evident in everything we do. Fast, foundational, mission-driven, and team forward.

Cons

Fast pace and a still-being-built foundation cut both ways: priorities shift quickly, some processes and tools are still maturing, and there's more ambiguity and manual work than at an established company. It's a strong fit if you're energized by building and comfortable with change — a harder one if you want everything structured and settled on day one.

This captures the Empower experience for builders with unusual clarity. The tension you name — between the opportunity to design from scratch and the ambiguity that comes with a still-maturing foundation — is exactly the trade-off we want people to understand before they join. Your advice to management is worth repeating: invest in people as fast as you are growing. That is the challenge and the commitment. The tools, support structures, and development paths have to keep pace with the speed of the business, or the speed breaks people instead of energising them. We hear that. Appreciate the candour — this is the kind of review that helps the right people find us. — Empower Pharmacy
