Pros
The developers are carrying this company and are the only competent ones there.
Cons
They use extremely old technologies and try to consult customers on them when they don’t own the licenses to them. They call it “Niche” for the fluff effect but it’s just old tech. They recycle through employees and only tell you when you’re joining about the ones that have been working there for so many years, I’m talking about non IT leaders that took the job from college and stayed there leading developers and managing them. Micromanagement, and when I say Micro management, I mean the worst micro management I’ve seen ever. They tell you how to write your emails and when to reply and when not to reply. They tell you how to write down what you worked on. The actual words you are “Allowed” to use. They have a document of the words allowed and not allowed, it’s insane. They don’t want to move on from the way they do things, and then they hold their people accountable for thinking outside the box and not thinking outside the box. Each developer has basically two to three bosses. When you want to schedule a vacation you have to email them all and if you miss one of them it’s a big issue, and then there is the “Free snacks and Coffee” that they mention to you so you should feel thankful. The free snacks and coffee is a bag of ground coffee that one of the developers makes in the morning and chips. Yes I feel grateful, thank you for the air you allowed me to breath. Waste of career time. I wouldn’t even recommend my worst enemy to work here.
