Pros

there are quite a bunch of very smart people working here from whom you can learn a lot of transferrable skills. there's a stocked up refrigerator and quite a few happy hours. You can wear different hats in the business analyst role that will help you anywhere you decide to move on to.

Cons

pay really really sucks. You are VERY overwhelmed with a lot of work such that prioritization becomes almost impossible. So many things calling for your immediate attention at the same time. A laptop is given to you so you can work from home especially during the "open enrollment" season, which is the busiest time for the company. It Is very common to miss deadlines and if you do not sound the alarm when being overwhelmed, you might be the next employee being kicked out of the door. It is very easy for you to do a lot of work and never get acknowledged or rewarded for it.There is also a lot of favoritism and if you are not one of the "favored few" then you must continually watch your back. There are clicks in the office and a lot of gossip too.

Pros

Trainers and RM's are supportive. Plus the work life balance is the only pros I can think of

Cons

Pay for BSA is WAY less than average salary of a Business Systems Analyst. The managers, they would be nice to my face and share limited feedback but will come up with a ton of "Concerns" when meeting my RMs. Consider yourself lucky if you are assigned any group other Rosser. People might differ, but I had terrible experience with them. hey will not let you grow and have selective biasness. They would make you work your sweat off during the busy season while the management enjoys holidays, come back and put you on coaching plan simply because you "couldn't deliver". Wow
