Pros

There are some pros to this job. Tile discounts if you so need it.

Cons

In my particular circumstance- Branch manager is very difficult to work with. This BM is constantly at the throat of one of the other employees. Causes for a TON of drama and crying in the branch. They are not very competitive with their pay. I feel like I was taken advantage of for being on the younger side. WORK LONG HOURS. I have no family life anymore after starting this job. I work over 100+ hours a paycheck (2 weeks). Being open on Saturday is absolutely pointless. The branch never makes more than $2,000 a day (Which is a ridiculously low number for our branch), plus you get foot traffic from end users that never end up coming back. There are a few more that I can't think of right now, but if I hadn't have needed a job asap, I would have kept looking for sure.

Great partners, really great people in the field, DC's, and corporate. Extremely people centric culture, both employees and customers, beautiful showrooms and great, stylish product.

Cons

Some decisions take too long to be made because everyone has a voice, but part of what makes it a great place to work.

Competitive pricing can also be an advantage when working to get products specified and win business.

Cons

If you’re writing a Glassdoor review, here’s a polished version that keeps your points while sounding professional and credible: Favoritism seemed to be a common issue. Many members of the sales team were already friends and socialized outside of work, which could make it difficult for those not part of those circles to feel included. If you didn’t fit in with the established group, it was easy to feel like an outsider. The company often promoted a “we’re all family” culture, but in reality, the environment felt very corporate. There were also an excessive number of weekly meetings. While I understand the need to track performance and ensure sales goals are met, the amount of time spent in meetings often felt excessive and took away from productive selling time. For a more concise Glassdoor-style review: Favoritism was noticeable within the sales team, as many employees were already friends outside of work, making it difficult for others to feel included. The company promoted a “family” culture, but the environment felt highly corporate. There were also too many weekly meetings. While sales accountability is important, the volume of meetings often felt excessive and reduced time available for actual sales activities.
