Pros
I have worked for a lot of different companies due to life events. I haven’t enjoyed a single one until Encompass Home Health. I am a very independent person and that’s how I like to work. I create my own schedule, update my supervising PTs, and go home. It’s great! It’s like I have my own business and that means everything to me. Time off is great. My family and friends live at minimum 6 hours away so it’s nice having a lot of time off to see them. Management is great! Very understanding and flexible, at least they are at my location.
Cons
Holiday and sick time is taken out of your PTO, however, you accrue 30 days a year so I guess it’s still good. Lot of driving, but you get paid for it. Not much room for advancement if you aren’t a nurse. PTs could be more educated on everything PTAs can do which is much more than most think.
