Pros
Purpose and mission. Coworkers were great, as was my direct supervisor. Benefits were good, especially the PTO. I had a good career there.
Cons
Advancement. This place is truly a "good ol' boys and girls" club where people are promoted who are not ready, and experienced folks are left in place despite their interest. There was no posting or application process for at least three examples at my location. Compensation - They underpay. They know it. They just don't want to change it. It is all about getting patients and minimizing costs. They do not invest in employees, and time for learning is discouraged. Leadership - I used to trust leadership, but in the last few years it because clear to me what the deal was. They do not really care, they have their own agenda. My supervisor's boss (my dept head) was very political and lied/misrepresented frequently. She definitely was a climber who was out for herself. I used to just try to keep my head low, but it got so bad I chose to leave. Diversity - not a lot of diversity in management/leadership. Staff is diverse.
