Pros

- Paid holidays (base pay, 6 per year, only 8 hours paid, if a 12 hour shift and want a full day off for yourself, you have to use 4 hours PTO to make it 12). - Worked holiday pay is base pay + 1/2 base pay (time and a half) - The company hosts activities throughout the year for holidays, birthdays, and appreciation weeks, which is nice. - Meetings and stuff are paid if you aren't on the campus to attend, but call in. - Self scheduling for nursing team, full time requires 2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays per month plus mandatory holiday rotation - "Guaranteed" raise once per year. - Benefits like health (BCBS), dental, vision (VSP) and add ons like surgery plus, voluntary life, STD buy up, LTD buy up. Tuition reimbursement and student loan assistance. 401k through Charles Schwab.

Cons

- Not all holidays are considered paid holidays (for example it does not include Christmas eve or NYE because not paid holiday according to company, but can be a mandatory holidays for you to work if you're nursing/therapy staff, so you come in on that holiday but don't receive holiday pay) - "Generous PTO package" is 3 hours a pay period. It's "dependent on hours" but I've never seen anyone get more than 3, including myself. - Patient acuity does not line up with the admissions we should be seeing. This is a rehabilitation hospital. But some of our clients are too acute to be in our setting and need hospital Med Surg/IMCU care. This makes it very hard to provide the best care for the patient, because it is delaying the proper care needed for the patient. - Patient safety is not a priority, because if it was, the company wouldn't think that 15+ patients per tech, 40+ patient census with 3 techs on the unit, is acceptable and safe. Also talks of increasing the census without proper staffing. RNs have 8+ patients, I've seen 11 for 1 nurse on some days. This is also unacceptable and unsafe. - No sick leave, no bereavement, everything is basically use PTO - Will get written up for having to call out sick - These concerns have been voiced numerous times, and nothing has been done about it. - Raises are "guaranteed" once a year, unless you have an occurrence on your record, and then its up to discretion. - I have had to handle hoyer lifts by myself (supposed to have two people for safety), because there isn't enough staff to help or the nurses refuse to help. - Policy is continuously said to be a "no pass zone" for call lights, but management and higher employees will pass those call lights and expect the RNTs to answer the call lights only. - Critical pay is not given to the staff who are working under the critical staffing, it's offered to the staff coming in who picked up the shift to help. - Bad pay for what they are asking for you to do.

Pros

Fair wages & positive rapport with therapy team

Cons

Poor leadership/administrative management team Mixed messaging on expectations/standards Questionable execution of ethical practices High case loads and no plan of support for staff Unreasonably high expectations/weight of metrics placed on Case Mgt team and treatment team staff rather than focus of best practice outcome for patients (bc admin does not want SNF rate to increase or NRC score to drop) Admin create culture that fostered several constructive discharges of staff members No work/life balance
