Pros
Hands-on experience with hotel AV equipment. This includes screens, projectors, microphones, mixers, lighting, trusses, displays, and other systems. There is a direct path to receiving an additional $1/hr pay increase from the start, as well as annual reviews that also include a bump in hourly pay. There are other pathways afterwards for becoming an in-room operator or for going to manage a property (as long as there are properties available to manage).
Cons
The schedule is inconsistent and varies on a week-to-week basis. The hours also vary, with some weeks getting as little as 5 hours of work to other weeks having to work for over 60 hours.
