Pros

5/2 5/3 schedule gives lots of weekly off days to be with family. Pay is good for local work ($100K), and the benefits are really good (no crappy health care plans like some other companies do). Their 401K is good, providing 100% employer match, choices between traditional and Roth 401Ks, and a self-directed brokerage account to give you more options. Management is nice and friendly and they don't micro manage as long as you do your work. You get home every night. The routes are regional (within 200 miles of San Antonio) and you do more driving and less loading/unloading than more local based companies. Fuel delivery is a highly stable business and provides job security even during economic downturns. They'll take work from the contractors before they start taking hours from the employed drivers.

Cons

Dispatch can get a bit lazy at times, so you have to call in for clarification and to change inefficient route plans. But overall nice people and if you respect them they'll respect you back.

Pros

Good benefits. The CEO appears well-intentioned and invested in the company's success, but there is limited visibility into the challenges faced by employees at lower levels of the organization.

Cons

The culture can feel like a good-old-boys network, with inconsistent treatment of employees across teams. Management practices are not always perceived as fair or transparent, and HR leadership does not appear to effectively address employee concerns. Greater accountability, consistency, and employee-focused leadership would help improve the work environment."
