Pros
I have been working at England Logistics for 6 months and I am truly grateful for the opportunity. I recently was promoted to Account Manager 2. I notice a lot of comments on here about how difficult it is to succeed and you get no support from the higher ups. This is the farthest thing from the truth. I enjoy waking up and coming to work largely due to their excellent leadership. Since day one I have always felt like my opinion and my ideas matter, their doors are always open and they will gladly listen to my suggestions. I will be the first to admit my decision making and/or course of action may not always be the correct one. But both managers truly make me feel like I am respected and my opinion truly matters, instilling the idea that I am part of something greater. They have given me responsibilities like creating SOP's, developing or pricing program (Gold, Silver, and Bronze,) and playing an outside sales role. All opportunities and skills that will dramatically help me become more competitive in the work place and in any of my future opportunities. So you should really thank them for giving me the tools to become successful.
Cons
We recently got Sales Force which should really help manage and drive sales, so I truly look forward using that system. Personally I work in one of the smaller departments and the system we use is not the greatest. I understand this is out of England Logistics control, because this software company has the market for 3PL application cornered. Because of the ever changing e-retail market many companies require system integratation with online shopping carts, Ebay, Amazon, and inventory management systems. When I first got to the department I was told we need to go after the big companies with lots of volume. So I did and recently had the companies commit to using our valued added partnership. These 3 companies total at almost 500 k in annual shipping cost and they are asking me to ship. But I am at a standstill because our system doesn't currently integrate with a very large inventory management system. But as I said this isn't really England Logistics fault as the software developers are 1 of only maybe 3 companies that provided this specific system.
