Pros

Supportive coworkers Nurse Residency Program Gifts around Holidays

Cons

Poor pay- one of the lowest paying hospitals in area compared to Hackensack, Holy Name, and Valley Hospital Management has been refusing to reopen contact with union to negotiate pay Union doesn't seem to have alot of impact/benefit for nurses Unsafe nursing-patient ratios Need to provide proof with doctors note for sick day to get paid- after 1 day Low retention rate for new nurses- offered a $10,000 bonus to new grads that was never offered when I was hired Mandatory overtime without overtime pay- need to work 4 day week per schedule.. WHY??

Pros

The pay is alright and having weekends off is nice.

Cons

The communication is awful and not consistent through different levels of management. They refuse to give you more hours, but then will last minute ask you to stay later. But then you get talked to for working more hours than you’re scheduled. The training is nonexistent and you be told to just figure it out and google it.
