Pros
- Great sense of community between employees. The majority of individuals who work here are very kind and truly want their peers to succeed. - Treated with respect by management. Always feel heard. - Adequate pay and great benefits (for those that qualify) - If an IS Intern performs well, they will have a high chance of being offered a job after graduation, which entails better pay and full time hours.
Cons
IS Management has high expectations of their Interns. This is both a pro and a con. Pro because we get a chance to showcase our skills/learning ability and prove that we are capable of doing the job. Con because we are doing much of the same work as the full time employees for a fraction of the rate. However, this is to be expected with an internship. Treating the internship like a prolonged interview keeps the internship mutually beneficial for both trainee and employer.
