They choose appearances over substance - Assistant Vice President Revenue Cycle - Client Delivery Services Ensemble Health Partners Employee Review

Pros

Compensation and fulfilling client work

Cons

Leadership is more interested in appearances than actual substantive, meaningful work that creates value for clients. Given the choice between time spent pushing forward on client deliverables or useless reports that will go unread and ultimately fade into Outlook’s trashbin, Ensemble leadership will always choose busywork. I’m judged on my ability to get my direct reports to buy into creating this trash, instead of doing their day jobs. I’m actively interviewing to go back to Conifer.

I have to admit you’re raising a good point here. I fully recognize that we spend a significant amount of time generating reports. It has been a key way for us to stay on top of our client delivery and essential in ensuring continuance of our 100% client satisfaction. However, It has become clear lately that we have outgrown our initial reporting strategy. I am happy to say that we have been working to respond to voices sharing feedback like yours. We are launching an internal reporting dashboard that will allow stakeholders self-serve access to the data they need, which will offload (much of) the burden of reporting from our revenue cycle leaders. We are grateful for our leaders who continue to step up as we deal with exponential growth. I am sorry to hear you are seeking to go back to Conifer. I would like to recommend that you check out the 2019 Klas report on revenue cycle outsourcing before you pull the chute. Conifer scored second lowest of all the vendors measured in terms of overall client satisfaction. They also score lowest on both Indeed and Glassdoor. There is a reason over 60% of all full outsourcing contracts in the U.S. went Ensemble between 2018 and 2019. If you want to be a part of a company that is growing as fast as Uber (and the opportunities that come with it), you may need to give it more time than “less than a year.” And you may want to use more/different feedback channels before you throw your hands up. We need your voice to help us grow. Trust me, I’d rather respond to you in my inbox than on Glassdoor. My door is still open: ShareWithShannon@EnsembleHP.com.

Pros

They are willing to work with you and your schedule. No issues with pay and you get paid on time consistently.

Cons

The work is extremely overwhelming and they definitely don't pay you what you are worth. Ensemble is not "People first" as they like to say. Invisible expectations.
