Pros

Good view Good people (some directors are good too) That's about as far as it goes.

Cons

Upper management loves to make plans to try and stay ahead of the curve, only to immediately delay and halt all progress on the plans and resume the usual reactionary panic that they are accustomed to. Many of the older directors simply do not want to work or communicate, they tend to blame marketing because they themselves do not know what it means. EnTech is sorely missing communication skills. Directors refuse to answer questions or give timelines on when their portion of work will be complete. This slows down the proposal process and really puts a damper on wanting to do any good work. The president loves the idea of professionalism, but sadly, is fairly unprofessional when it comes to managing her team of directors. Directors are primarily only there for their names and not the work they can do or provide. This does not bode well for company growth. Bring in directors that actually want to work and not just collect a check, because a majority of your older directors are there for that reason. "Take Ownership" is one of EnTech's core values, which is the most ignored. No director will take ownership of their shortcomings or when they simply forget a task they were responsible for. They are more likely to shift the blame onto someone below them to avoid the ire of the president. All in all, communication and a lack of responsibility are EnTech's major cons and likely will not change, unless management takes the appropriate actions. P.S. There is cultural favoritism throughout EnTech.

Entech Engineering P.c. Response

We appreciate the first comment on this review about EnTech's “good people”. Yes indeed, we are proud of our teams who have been continuously delivering outstanding services to our clients and continue to do so. This review expresses frustration around the proposal writing process. Winning proposals is instrumental to the company's growth. It is also demanding in terms of production, timing, deliverables and requires agility and flexibility to meet all stakeholder expectations. Delivering the work in a short period of time can create tension, especially in the current competitive environment. This might have been the experience of our former colleague. We take all employee feedback seriously and will look into the situation further as part of our commitment to continuous improvement. However, EnTech does not support targeting a group of employees based on age or any other discriminating criteria. We are a diverse company and we celebrate our diversity every day. Our strength as an engineering company lies in the talent and the years of experience of our staff as well as our common values. EnTech Engineering has been growing over the last five years and continues to do so, thanks to all our team members.
