Pros
I truly, truly love the team at Entelo. We hired some great, genuine people who have all been fully invested in this mission and have built a great culture. It's also nice to feel as though your product is adding a "net positive" in the world -- helping improve access to opportunity for diverse candidates is always a good thing! Additionally, we were definitely empowered, even as individual contributors, to jump in and do whatever we thought might help the company. There wasn't any unnecessary process getting in the way of productivity.
Cons
Unfortunately, this space is a very competitive one. Having strong competition from similar startups as well as taking on a very entrenched industry leader means there's no clear path to opportunity, and the numbers show that it's been a challenge recently. The company hired too much too fast a couple years ago, so some of the contraction that's happened since I think was a necessary right-sizing. But in the aftermath, we've lost some key senior leaders, which leaves the future in question. If you're weighing whether to work here, there's DEFINITELY opportunity for you to jump in and make a difference. But know that this is also not one of those rocketship tech companies where everything is accelerating.
