Mixed feelings - Software Developer Entertainment Partners Employee Review

Pros

Casual work environment, nice people to work with. It was a nice place to work for many years. Severance package was fair and shows that EP takes care of its employees after they are no longer working for them.

Cons

The company has slowly changed its culture over the years from a friendly, startup-like type of culture into a much more corporate one. This is just the direction chosen by management as the company continues to grow. On a more personal level, I felt that career growth had more to do with the project and manager that you were tied to rather than individual achievements. There's a degree of nepotism present, but probably no more so than other companies.

We are glad you recognize many of the great offerings at EP. EP started as a small “start up” before there was such a description and, over the years, has grown to a large company. When this happens, it is hard to retain the more familial environment which exists in smaller companies. The flip side of that is we are leader in our industry with a vision to deliver cutting-edge, innovative solutions for our clients.

Pros

The team and my coworkers around me are incredible hardworking people

Cons

If you are looking for a payroll job, DO NOT WORK HERE. Here is a list of why you dont want to work at Entertainment Partners: 1. Severe underpay for amount of work assigned on a weekly basis 2. Upper management gives fake promises of promotions and career growth 3. CEO is killing the company by malpracticing basic business fundamentals which is tanking the company financially. 4. Lay offs are NOT performance based and have happened twice a year since 2023. If you are looking for an accounting or payroll job in the entertainment industry, please look at other companies such as Greenslate, Wrapbook and Cast & Crew. Its a shame that the CEO, Mark, is too far gone and doesnt learn from his mistakes. This company used to be one of the greatest in the industry. Now its a complete shell of its former glory.
