Pros

Company finally raised capital, great product, great reputation in industry. Absolutely love the individuals I work with and my team. Entrata has more people passionate and dedicated to it then I have seen anywhere else or anywhere else I have worked.

Cons

We were all excited and hopeful when the new exec team was announced, unfortunately, that was fleeting and but a moment. There has been a consistent message of we don’t know what we’ve built, you have no idea what you’re sitting on - that’s rude, we built it, we do. Agree with some of the previous posts about the change, Change has been happening with re orgs across the board and no one knows why - things were working and scaling but apparently we need to tear it all down. The new leadership group is arrogant, understatement of the year - never seen more ego in meetings then meeting with them - town hall, team meetings, etc Development is not happy and things have dramatically changed - interested to see that play out. The capital raise announcement was exciting but was more about the new exec team than the employees - one time bonus was nice but nothing with equity, raises, ongoing bonuses - we built this thing as they keep saying so compensate us for it. Agree with previous posts culture is rapidly changing and not for the better, talking to peers everyone is nervous feels like the podium hires will keep coming and not slow preventing upward mobility for those of us who have been here working hard. Passing mention in a town hall we need to change values - everyone was shocked and can’t stop talking about why would we even touch those they are the thread of the company - I came because I was so impressed the company was different not the same as everywhere else. Sad and hard to see it all, reconsidering employment decision as are many I have talked to are as well- nothing keeping me with no stock options, no upward movement with the “bro club”, no performance based bonus etc. we are obviously going public but nothing has been said or discussed with any of us everyone is assuming all the changes are because of that and changing the company for that rather than growth, innovation etc - definite cultural shift from customers and employees Previous post about food trucks getting us to town hall made me chuckle as we saw it again for capital raise announcement - just waiting for them to force us all back in while we are in a covid spike in the state Wish nothing but the best but hope some of the old leadership stands up against the poor changes and speaks in behalf of us - we liked it before and it was working and growing as numbers they keep sharing showed it. Change isn’t bad but it feels like it’s reckless like earlier post - old leaders seems to have been replaced or told to sit down and be quiet as we aren’t seeing any faces we were use to interacting with before.

Great Culture and a product that actually works. They have raving fans as customers, which help a ton

Cons

The shift from bootstrap to VC funded came with the usual issues of turnover and culture shift

Pros

I have a pretty good group of team members. My mid-level supervisor is also easy to work with and supportive.

Cons

Entrata does not care about their employees, or even their products/services. This is made clear by insane workloads, exhausting meetings with escalated clients, and a “standard” 3% (if you are exceeding expectations and lucky) raise. I do moderately technical work that requires a decent amount of experience, as well as a client facing and internal leadership role, and I don’t make what is considered a “living wage” in Utah, even after years of working here. Execs seem to be having a great time partying at Summit with the most expensive celebrities they can book (Seinfeld, James Cordon, Tom Brady, Weezer…) but absolutely do not care about the uninvited staff who are working to support their client retention and their low-bar concept of product integrity.
