DI is growing, rapidly. Growth isn't always easy, but there's always opportunity.
It can be hard to get time with leadership, not because they don't care, but because they are trying to run the company as best they can. My experience is that if I was thoughtful in my approach, made an attempt to solve the problem myself first, made a realistic ask of their time, and came well prepared to have the discussion needed, finding time wasn't an issue.
