Pros

Pay, commission, time off and co workers

Cons

It's not uncommon for higher-ups in a company to have a different perspective from sales representatives on the ground. The discrepancy often arises due to the inherent divide in roles and responsibilities. Let's delve into some reasons for this disconnect: Macro vs. Micro View: Executives at the higher levels are tasked with considering the overall health and strategic direction of the company. This often involves making decisions that impact various departments, long-term goals, and financial stability. Sales representatives, on the other hand, are primarily focused on immediate sales targets and customer interactions. This difference in scope can lead to differing priorities and viewpoints. Pressure from Investors and Stakeholders: Senior management is accountable to stakeholders, investors, and board members who expect consistent growth and profitability. This pressure can drive them to set ambitious sales goals that might seem unreasonable or disconnected from the realities faced by sales teams in the field. Complexity of Metrics: Executives often rely on complex metrics and data analysis to make decisions. These metrics can be difficult to interpret for those who aren't directly involved in day-to-day sales operations. Sales representatives, however, have firsthand experience with the challenges and nuances of dealing with customers, which may not always be accurately reflected in the data. Real-world Constraints: Sales representatives work closely with customers and understand the constraints and limitations faced by the market. They might find certain sales targets to be impractical or unrealistic based on factors such as market demand, competition, and economic conditions. However, higher-ups may not have the same level of insight into these real-world dynamics. Balancing Quantity and Quality: While executives might emphasize meeting high sales quotas, sales representatives often strive to maintain a balance between quantity and quality. Pushing for unrealistic sales numbers could potentially compromise customer relationships and long-term brand reputation. Variability in Territories: Sales teams may operate in different territories with unique challenges. Higher-ups might set uniform goals across regions without fully considering the varying conditions faced by different sales teams. Timeframe and Long-term Goals: Executives may be focused on achieving long-term strategic objectives, which can lead them to set aggressive short-term goals. Sales representatives, on the other hand, might be more concerned with maintaining sustainable growth and building lasting customer relationships. It's understandable to feel frustrated when goals seem unrealistic or disconnected from the daily realities of the job. Expressing your doubts and concerns about these goals can be valuable feedback for the company. While higher-ups may not fully experience the challenges faced by sales representatives, it's essential to communicate your perspective respectfully and provide concrete examples to illustrate your points. Suggesting that they attempt to achieve these goals under the same conditions can also help bridge the understanding gap and lead to more reasonable and effective goal-setting processes.

Pros

The actual FIELD leadership is awesome.

Cons

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW: The job posting claims you'll find "a highly energetic and collaborative team" and "a management team that cares about your professional development." This is not what I experienced. I experienced inconsistent treatment, favoritism, exclusion, and a complete absence of the professional management standards that any HR function should model. If you're interviewing with this company, ask specifically about management style, equity in how employees are treated, and what the actual discipline process looks like in practice. Don't accept reassurance. Ask for specifics. I do not recommend EoS Fitness as an employer, particularly if your manager works under this current HR leadership. The risk to your career, wellbeing, and financial stability is not worth it!!
