Pros

• There are some people that are friendly, capable and want to do good work, but they're mostly stymied by terrible management and short-sighted authoritarian business practices.

Cons

• Terrible building. No windows, uninspired decor (though this is the least of their problems), and some of the worst corporate bathrooms I've ever seen. • Lack of trust in employees. You will be watched over by big brother, to the point where they know how long it's been since you touched your mouse or keyboard, and you are likely to be badgered by your manager or trafficking agent every 30 minutes (or more) throughout the day, interrupting whatever you were trying to work on. • You will likely see people summarily dismissed without valid reasons or explanations. Never to be heard from again, because they will forbid them from contacting their former friends and co-workers. They just pretend you never existed. • Backstabbing, blame-throwing environment. Be sure to cover your behind in whatever you do, because someone will probably throw you under the bus if given the chance. • Convoluted, ineffective technology. Basically Epiq's Notifications Division is coasting on the innovations of Poorman Douglas from over 15 years ago. It has not improved. Due to bad management decisions, you will be using buggy, outdated software that is poorly documented. Be prepared to spend hours troubleshooting problems that cannot be easily identified or fixed. • They seem to want obedient group-thinkers, not people that work independently or have original ideas. They will try to mold you into their rigid, overly-quantified management system, which really just illuminates their inability to look beyond a spreadsheet and a database to see a broader world with more nuance. • Resistant to suggestions. Considering how poorly some of their systems operate for the people using them, one would wish that they were more open to the suggestions of people who have to use these systems. It is YOU who are broken, not them, so probably don't bother asking unless you enjoy wasting your breath.

Pros

Great company to work for. Nice environment. Great training and support.

Cons

Working outsourcing kind of sucks by nature. There’s no one at the law firm that needs to have your back, insists that you be treated with respect.
