Pros

- A lot of diverse projects to work on - Good perks and benefits for employees

Cons

Promotions are based solely on how long someone has been at the company, with no consideration for leadership skills or actual performance. This results in micromanagement, poor team environments, bad decisions, and constant employee turnover. Upper management holds outdated views — they still think remote work is bad. While they claim to offer a hybrid model, it comes with excessive restrictions. Missing an in-office day for any reason can lead to penalties, and accumulating several can even put your job at risk. Workload is excessive, and there’s absolutely no work-life balance, despite the company constantly promoting it as one of their “core values.” Employees are expected to handle unrealistic deadlines and frequent emergencies outside of normal working hours. Job stability is low — I witnessed multiple rounds of layoffs during my time there. Compensation is well below market standards, raises are minimal, and promotions are rare. Only when you hand in a resignation letter do they start making an effort to retain you.

Pros

My direct manager. Comp plan if you’re lucky enough to find several whale clients, and if you’re lucky, the commission is approved.

Cons

There are a lot. First, office politics. Equifax expects employees to be very corporate and robotic. Metrics metrics metrics. 100% focused on revenue, not customers. Metrics, metrics, metrics. PIP overuse. Even when you’re 150% to yearly plan 6mo in, they expect 300%. Make sure to keep receipts. Senior management will find the most ridiculous ways to push reps out, continently right before a huge payout of a very delayed commission plan. (Sell something in Jan 2025, you will only get a fraction of commission until June 26). That’s if the exception committee approves payout (which never happens). If you sell a big deal, don’t expect to get paid 100% of what the plan says.
