Pros

High-Level Technical Environment: The company has a very strong technical culture. The teams are highly skilled, especially within the technology and security domains. It is a great place to learn from experienced professionals and work with mature processes. Collaborative Culture: The work environment is extremely collaborative. Despite the high level of technical expertise, colleagues are approachable and willing to share knowledge. It’s a supportive atmosphere rather than a competitive one. Professional Development: The company provides excellent resources for career growth and professional development, offering the tools and support needed to advance your skills.

Cons

Location and Commute: The office location may be a drawback in some cases. The traffic to get in and out of some areas, especially during rush hour can be very intense and unpredictable. Commute Stress: The daily commute can be draining due to the high volume of people and vehicles for some regions. This may add significant stress to the day and impacts work-life balance, making the days feel much longer than they should.

Pros

My direct manager. Comp plan if you’re lucky enough to find several whale clients, and if you’re lucky, the commission is approved.

Cons

There are a lot. First, office politics. Equifax expects employees to be very corporate and robotic. Metrics metrics metrics. 100% focused on revenue, not customers. Metrics, metrics, metrics. PIP overuse. Even when you’re 150% to yearly plan 6mo in, they expect 300%. Make sure to keep receipts. Senior management will find the most ridiculous ways to push reps out, continently right before a huge payout of a very delayed commission plan. (Sell something in Jan 2025, you will only get a fraction of commission until June 26). That’s if the exception committee approves payout (which never happens). If you sell a big deal, don’t expect to get paid 100% of what the plan says.
