Pros

Flexibility for work/life balance (depends on your manager) Macro-managers High margin business

Cons

Too many mgmt. layers, most lacking leadership. YES MEN types, using 'systems' to measure and get to know what their teams are doing. Mgrs. stay in their offices. Disjointed efforts of multiple company salespersons/divisions/products: Head-in-sand reactions. Equifax 'way' clashes with TALX culture; New president doesn't value TALX culture, and demoralizing company with in-your-face, suck-it-up, too-bad 'finesse'. Pay below market...and dropping Poor internal cultivation of 'bench' for positions.

Pros

My direct manager. Comp plan if you’re lucky enough to find several whale clients, and if you’re lucky, the commission is approved.

Cons

There are a lot. First, office politics. Equifax expects employees to be very corporate and robotic. Metrics metrics metrics. 100% focused on revenue, not customers. Metrics, metrics, metrics. PIP overuse. Even when you’re 150% to yearly plan 6mo in, they expect 300%. Make sure to keep receipts. Senior management will find the most ridiculous ways to push reps out, continently right before a huge payout of a very delayed commission plan. (Sell something in Jan 2025, you will only get a fraction of commission until June 26). That’s if the exception committee approves payout (which never happens). If you sell a big deal, don’t expect to get paid 100% of what the plan says.
