Work life balence is awful. It's not just the balance, but the workload is that of a slave and there is little to know remorse from management. This makes the "magic of Equinix" seem fictitious. Additionally, the roles and responsibilities are not that of a CSM in the industry, instead all work is reactive and task driven. Processes are ridiculous, sometimes pages long, and there is an expectation for CSMs to basically know everything.... CSMs are also held responsible for most everything when things go wrong. Some how, this continues to be acceptable by the leadership team. There have been lots of lost promises for change, but they continue to saddle this team with burden and no relief. It's been years of promises! It's even difficult to take PTO, you are required to find someone to back you up and usually teammates don't want to cover even more workload, so you end up begging people to cover for you... it's terrible. In general, there is way too much pressure on CSM teams...

Although it is disappointing to receive a review of this nature, listening to and understanding the experiences of our team members is a key part of our culture and an important step in fostering growth and change as we scale to meet new business success. We’ve added a number of programs in our organization to improve both the customer experience and our CSM employee experience as part of this ongoing process. I agree that Equinix has amazing people and products and part of our multi-year journey is working together to navigate this exciting growth time for the company. Company is strong financially. No chance of layoff. Many opportunities to work overtime if you want extra hours.

Very busy, they need to hire more people.

Cons

CRO and Senior leadership failed with execution of their CS REORGANIZATION! They laid off exceptional and tenured talent who were either not replaced or new job requisitions filled with external candidates. Upon making internal employees aware of layoffs, they did so in such a callous manner with complete disregard for humanity. It was literally appalling and disgusting! The ‘Magic of Equinix’ (I belong. I matter. I feel safe.) is no longer present and hasn’t been for over two years. No work life balance. Everyone is just a number so why be an over achiever in such an awful space. Morale is lower than ever!
