Pros

They hire for culture fit and it shows. When people get along and have common goals its amazing what can be accomplished. Even with an unrealistic work load, there is a feeling of happiness going to work.

Cons

Hiring for culture can lead to teams feeling cliquey. When there is a focus on inclusiveness, how do the two reconcile? Did I mention inclusiveness..., yeah? With a focus on speed speed speed (have to stay ahead to stay relevant), and a mind for acquiring anything with potential for revenue, there is an expectation to do more work with less resources (see above mentioned unrealistic work load). That is an equation for burnout.

We share your enthusiasm for the Equinix culture! Thanks for sharing your perspective. As you noted, we are a fast growing tech company and we are proud of the opportunity that offers our employees and customers every day. However, we do recognize that this pace requires our teams to design for scale and the employee experience with equal priority. Of course, there may be bumps in the road and we are fortunate to have a great culture based on one of our core values of “open your mind, open your heart” as we embrace inclusiveness and diversity during this exciting time. Your feedback is a great reminder to our managers to stay close to the needs of their teams. Thank you. - Larry McAlister Vice President Talent Management

Pros

Company is strong financially. No chance of layoff. Many opportunities to work overtime if you want extra hours.

Cons

Very busy, they need to hire more people.

Pros

Hybrid which is nice, for what the job entails pay is ok I suppose at 60k. Every Wednesday there's food for employees.

Cons

Earlier in the year the frisco office was closed down, so many employees including myself who add living arrangements now have to travel 3 days a week to the downtown office. Which is 45 minutes + with traffic. On top of that the shift times suck as someone who appreciates work life balance. 7 am to 7 pm. I would also say that there are many organizational changes and career growth seems limited.
