Pros
Good stock. Great business model. Nice building
Cons
If you end up at Equinix, you will hear from a variety of c-suite leaders, starting with the CEO, who inundate you with an endless barrage of passionate, insistent and even teary-eyed proclamations about their sincere interest in creating a safe, diverse and inclusive culture. But be wary of those who proclaim too much. Nearly all of these c-suite leaders are insincere charlatans. Since joining Equinix, I’ve watched as C-suite leaders have not been held accountable for very bad behavior that is anything but inclusive and tolerant. Meanwhile, a large number of diverse employees have left the company while others have been passed up for white Christian candidates. The CEO loves to profess, but he will not hold his c-suite accountable for behavior that would make anyone who isn’t white and Christian feel safe. The hypocrisy and insincerity are appalling. But hey, we sure do talk a good game here.
