Pros

The company seems better outside of ops

Cons

POC, women, LGBTQ+ have a very hard time surviving in the operations environment. Coworkers are frequently demeaning and you are assigned dehumanizing tasks. The south is especially rampant.

Equinix Response

Thank you for sharing your perspective on the Operations organization at Equinix. I was disappointed to read your review as your experience does not represent the supportive and inclusive environment we strive to create across the company. We are deeply committed to a standard of leadership that allows every team member to learn, grow and thrive in their role and at Equinix. To support this, we have recently made significant leadership changes within Operations, in the U.S. south and in other regions. We have also recently expanded training and awareness programs for managers and employees around unconscious bias, inclusivity and what it means to "belong" at Equinix. We continue to partner with HR to set aggressive goals to help us build teams that represent diverse communities. These are not just hiring numbers to us – we want to cultivate an inclusive environment that attracts people from a wide variety of backgrounds because they know Equinix is a place to have a rich and fulfilling career. I appreciate your candor around this important issue. I welcome the opportunity to learn more from you and invite you to set up a time with me to discuss further as we work to lead better in the future. - Chris Chris Kimm SVP, Americas IBX Operations

Company is strong financially. No chance of layoff. Many opportunities to work overtime if you want extra hours.

Cons

Very busy, they need to hire more people.

Pros

Great people in various internal roles.

Cons

CRO and Senior leadership failed with execution of their CS REORGANIZATION! They laid off exceptional and tenured talent who were either not replaced or new job requisitions filled with external candidates. Upon making internal employees aware of layoffs, they did so in such a callous manner with complete disregard for humanity. It was literally appalling and disgusting! The ‘Magic of Equinix’ (I belong. I matter. I feel safe.) is no longer present and hasn’t been for over two years. No work life balance. Everyone is just a number so why be an over achiever in such an awful space. Morale is lower than ever!
