Pros

Marketing at Equinix is viewed as a very strategic function which is unusual for a tech Silicon Valley company. CMO is active voice on strategy and also leads products team. Real can-do attitude within the team. Real fun environment where people work hard and play hard. Marketing leadership team really works to drive for best practice (and there are several areas to improve because Equinix has grown so fast that at times it feels a bit like an overblown start-up.) Culture at company is taken very seriously -- its not just about the results but also how you get them. As a result there are very few jerks (and the company tries to avoid recruiting jerks and egos).

Cons

It's hard work and the pace of change might make some people uncomfortable (however marketing attrition is very low and Equinix attrition in general is low.) The big focus on culture might make some people uncomfortable if they don't like the focus on soft skills and how you relate to people.

Pros

Company is strong financially. No chance of layoff. Many opportunities to work overtime if you want extra hours.

Cons

Very busy, they need to hire more people.

Pros

Hybrid which is nice, for what the job entails pay is ok I suppose at 60k. Every Wednesday there's food for employees.

Cons

Earlier in the year the frisco office was closed down, so many employees including myself who add living arrangements now have to travel 3 days a week to the downtown office. Which is 45 minutes + with traffic. On top of that the shift times suck as someone who appreciates work life balance. 7 am to 7 pm. I would also say that there are many organizational changes and career growth seems limited.
