Pros

Equinox, and what it has to offer its members is truly amazing. Their focus on health an wellness through science based approaches has been proven over and over to be effective, and life changing. That being said, as an hourly employee you enjoy free gym membership, and 40% off of services offered, which is reason enough to work for Equinox.

Cons

The work culture at Equinox isn't necessarily the greatest. Often people get hired to fill positions who really aren't suited for customer services positions, and thus burden those who are actually good at their jobs. The company will also often find ways to not pay over time (move hours around, charge hours you worked this week to next week). It's even worse for you if you're a membership advisor, you don't get paid even nearly enough to even come close to cover cost of living in this area, although you work 9,10, sometimes 12 hour shifts. Essentially, as a low level employee at Equinox you will work long hours, and do hard work and get paid very little, and you opinion matters even less.

Pros

Short hours. Free gym membershio and you can take the classes as well.

Cons

Sometimes too slow or at times way too many kids to handle by yourself.

Pros

Free Equinox membership. Easily one of the biggest perks. You get access to a premium gym that normally costs hundreds of dollars per month. Health and fitness environment. You're surrounded by people interested in wellness, and many coworkers are into fitness. Customer service experience. Great resume builder if you're moving into hospitality, sales, banking, or corporate roles. Professional atmosphere. Equinox expects a polished appearance and high-quality service, which can help build professionalism. Networking opportunities. Members often include business owners, executives, and professionals in West Palm Beach. Relatively straightforward work. Most duties include greeting members, answering phones, checking members in, updating accounts, and keeping the lobby organized.

Cons

Pay is relatively low compared to the expectations and cost of living in South Florida. Many employees cite compensation as a downside. Can't call out sick.
