Pros
Co-workers (other sales reps) were easy to get along with. I enjoyed working with the other sales reps on my local team. Not a lot of micro management, freedom to work your own pace and schedule. Newer equipment, nice rental fleet.
Cons
No loyalty, you’re just a number on a spreadsheet. Bad company insurance policy for customers. Customers who did not have their own insurance were automatically enrolled in our rental protection plan, which did not coverage any customer damage, theft, or really anything. Very misleading, bad look for the reps who have to do damage control if any incidents occur. Service department no where near up to par with the competition. Customers sometimes had to wait days to get their down equipment serviced. Another bad look for the sales reps, made it much harder to grow customer relationships which in turn affects your sales numbers. Due to corporate overhaul/interference as a result of a panic in reaction to a slow start to Q1, I was let go from my job without warning despite being one of the top performing reps in my territory.
