      Pros

      When I began my journey with Equity, I never envisioned that this would be a now 7 year career. There are so many good things to say that it almost seems unbelievable for those looking in or reading this review. There is something to be said about a company that treats their employees well and I am here to shout it from the rooftops! I am so very happy with the years that I have spent learning different positions all over the Orange County Area and the company only continues to listen and evolve with the resident/employee feedback! I am a true believer that your voice will be heard, your suggestions will be considered, and your time and efforts as an employee will be recognized. I will continue to acknowledge Equity for all of their accomplishments in regard to my positive experiences (recognition, EXTRAORDINARY benefits especially maternity/paternity, career development/growth, continuous change for the best, diversity, ETC.) I am so thankful for the opportunities that I have had and the ones that will be with me for many years to come as Equity and I continue to evolve together.

      Pros

      Housing discount, strong portfolio exposure, opportunity to work across multiple communities, and valuable experience in a fast-paced leasing environment.

      Cons

      Management loves to preach “teamwork” until something goes wrong, then suddenly it’s every employee for themselves. Very documentation-heavy culture where certain managers seem to enjoy writing people up more than actually developing talent. Communication is inconsistent, accountability is selective, and favoritism is hard to ignore. Commission structure is shockingly low for the workload and expectations. Leadership often presents itself as organized and supportive, but behind the scenes there’s a lot of blame-shifting, targeting of employees, and policy confusion — especially regarding employee housing and lease transitions. My own experience at the end of my employee lease felt retaliatory and left a very negative impression.
