Pros
Decent work life balance depending on your position and team. Good benefits and HR department is among the best I have ever seen. Company family events are fun although they were better in years past when Tripp Doggett was President of the company. Company 401k match is amazing and can really help you retire early if you stick around with the company.
Cons
When it gets busy it gets crazy. Managers were okay but definitely a good ol' boy system and if you are not willing to play the politics than forget about career advancement. There are favorites especially the ones that like to be seen by the directors. People will go out of their way to take credit for work they did not perform for career advancement and notoriety. The change control process is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen, paperwork up to your eyeballs. Getting projects/work approved almost takes an act of congress. Service delivery guys will drive you crazy and will pester you until no end regardless if the paperwork is right. Getting something passed through seems to be more important than quality of work.
