Pros

There is generous sick time and good amount of time off and the health care is really good. They don't skimp on the benefits. If you work out of the home office in Erie there are lots of amenities as well, including a gym, cafeteria, covered parking, etc.

Cons

The company is more focused on making sure that the city of Erie survives rather than becoming a modern company. They are decades behind in technological capabilities, especially when it comes to their data. They also are willing to let some areas be fully remote and out of the company footprint, but won't let others. The reasoning behind this is to support the local community and that the fully remote positions could not be filled unless that option was provided. The daily experience can vary widely depending on what team you are a part of. Some teams are able to have a larger headcount, so the work is more evenly distributed, while others have a very small one leaving an enormous workload to be distributed across a handful of people. The data teams are also not centralized. Each area has their own data team. This can make it difficult to coordinate efforts, cause duplication of work, and a variety of standards across the teams.
