Pros
Schedules are fairly flexible - many people choose their own work hours within reason. There is some flexibility for working from home (although not all the time). The workplace is fairly relaxed with a casual dress code. Coworkers are generally friendly and collegial. The company is stable, which is a very good thing in a down economy. They provide PPO health insurance and VSP (but you have to pay out of pocket for VSP for families of the employee). Also, you only get new glasses and lenses every 2 years instead of every year.
Cons
It is located in Redlands, which means that people either have to live in the Inland Empire or go through a long commute. Salaries can be significantly lower than for comparable positions in Los Angeles County or Orange County.
