Pros

Emergency teaching hospital, lots of opportunities to learn

Cons

Low pay, human resources manager is atrocious and has even gotten physical with employees-pulling hair to make them focus on animals, poking them when she feels like they're showing too much skin while restraining animals, partners don't care about what goes on here as long as they make money, overnight staff is allowed to do whatever they please and the patients suffer for it, they have a huge turnover rate because they treat people so poorly, favoritism is a huge problem here, they don't want to spend money on worthwhile equipment 80% of the time and when you ask when things will get better, they constantly tell you to wait a couple months they're working on it. Nothing ever gets better here folks and it is enough to drive people to real self destructive behavior!

Pros

People you work with are fantastic. The medicine is high quality. If you are a hard worker and team player, you can spend years here building your career.

Cons

The high-up leadership and C-suite never had clear communication of the direction of the company. Because of this changes happen overnight and you are left to adapt quickly. It is pulling teeth to do your work because there are so many road blocks and approvals and levels of "managers" with egos to get through which slows progress and innovation. There are many managers and people not in correct roles. Even with managers and leads, unsure who is really in charge. Lots of layoffs across all corporate roles quite often.
