Pros

There are no pros to working there.

Cons

VERC/Ethos promises a lot to their employees but never delivers. They never pay even close to a livable wage, raises are laughable, pompous managers are never willing to step in to help, techs that are truly there for the animals are too overworked and stressed to be able to properly train new hires, some long time 'head techs' are just downright unprofessionally rude to coworkers with no repercussions. Many of my old patient/clients and coworkers from there have complained to me after leaving. VERC has created a bad name for themselves in the community for lack of ohana and aloha.

I know that this review is from the beginning of the year and I apologize for the lack of reply until now. I recently started at Ethos as the Chief People Officer so I do want you to know that I've read what you have said and am committed to creating an environment and culture at Ethos that is different than what it seems you may have experienced. I wish you the best and thank you for your work while you were with Ethos. -Holly

Pros

People you work with are fantastic. The medicine is high quality. If you are a hard worker and team player, you can spend years here building your career.

Cons

The high-up leadership and C-suite never had clear communication of the direction of the company. Because of this changes happen overnight and you are left to adapt quickly. It is pulling teeth to do your work because there are so many road blocks and approvals and levels of "managers" with egos to get through which slows progress and innovation. There are many managers and people not in correct roles. Even with managers and leads, unsure who is really in charge. Lots of layoffs across all corporate roles quite often.
