Great medicine, mediocre company - Veterinary Technician, RVT Ethos Veterinary Health Employee Review

Pros

Room for growth, the medicine practiced is excellent. Veterinarians are amazing and we are getting new interns/residents yearly.

Cons

Pay is low, morale is barely there, administration is awful. Please put people that are actually qualified, in positions of power. They require the majority of employees to park 10 min down the road and walk to work every day since the parking lot is too small. Aside from all of that, I love my job.

Great to see your comments on the quality of medicine, but at the same time it looks like we have work to do in the other areas you mentioned around compensation, leadership and engagement. If you would be willing to have a confidential conversation with me, I'd like to learn more and share some of what we're working on for your input and feedback. Please reach out to me via our Ethos email system if you are open to talking. - Holly

Pros

People you work with are fantastic. The medicine is high quality. If you are a hard worker and team player, you can spend years here building your career.

Cons

The high-up leadership and C-suite never had clear communication of the direction of the company. Because of this changes happen overnight and you are left to adapt quickly. It is pulling teeth to do your work because there are so many road blocks and approvals and levels of "managers" with egos to get through which slows progress and innovation. There are many managers and people not in correct roles. Even with managers and leads, unsure who is really in charge. Lots of layoffs across all corporate roles quite often.
