Awful - Veterinary Assistant Ethos Veterinary Health Employee Review

Pros

A few people actually have feelings and emotions for animals and clients. Those few made the job tolerable.

Cons

You have to literally ARGUE for breaks and lunches. There is no schedule, and employees think they can wait their whole shift to take a lunch. Nightshift employees are entitled, rude, emotionless. With nightshift along with long time employees, there is a bullying culture embedded into this company. Management gets complaints and seems to not care when the employees are crying and having mental breakdowns while on shift. Director is amazing, CSR manager not so much. She crossed her job title each and every day and makes people feel unwelcome by bullying and teaming up with other employees. Majority of the doctors do not care about their staffs well-being. I will not name these as management gets complaints almost weekly.

Pros

People you work with are fantastic. The medicine is high quality. If you are a hard worker and team player, you can spend years here building your career.

Cons

The high-up leadership and C-suite never had clear communication of the direction of the company. Because of this changes happen overnight and you are left to adapt quickly. It is pulling teeth to do your work because there are so many road blocks and approvals and levels of "managers" with egos to get through which slows progress and innovation. There are many managers and people not in correct roles. Even with managers and leads, unsure who is really in charge. Lots of layoffs across all corporate roles quite often.
